Virginia joined CBSG in July 2004. In college, she participated in research on restoration prairie ecology and African lion communication. She has worked with the Nature Conservancy in southwest Minnesota both restoring prairie and participating in controlled burns. At CBSG, Virginia assists the program officers with report editing and briefing book assembly and report cover design. She maintains the report archives and the CBSG member database. She also edits the CBSG Newsletter, Annual Reports, and maintains and updates the CBSG website. She is interested in conservation programs that work with native people, allowing them to maintain their traditional way of life. Virginia works remotely from Pittsburgh, PA, where she volunteers with a local Pit Bull rescue, and enjoys hiking with her three dogs.
